The Lost City of Amdapor was added in patch 2.2 of the A Realm Reborn expansion.
The Lost City of Amdapor becomes available at level 50 as part of the “This Time’s for Fun” quest, which is given by Hugubert – Mor Dhona (X:22, Y:8).
The dungeon has a minimum ilevel of 55 to enter and rewards you with:

The Lost City of Amdapor is an end-game dungeon added during patch 2.2. It requires an item level of 55 or above to enter and rewards players with ilevel 70 equipment that was formerly rewarded in exchange for Tomestones of Philosophy. This gear is called Darklight. The dungeon is found within the South Shroud and is accessible upon completion of the quest “The Ultimate Weapon”. You can then take on the quest “One Night in Amdapor”, which is given by E-sumi-Yan in Old Gridania (X:6, Y:10).
Boss Guide
The Lost City of Amdapor contains three bosses, called Decaying Gourmand, Arioch and Diabolos. Below is a guide for each of them.
Decaying Gourmand
Decaying Gourmand is a goobbue type creature and being the first boss means it is a fairly simple fight. The main thing to be aware of is that every so often he will eat a random party member (anyone but the tank). You know it is about to happen when a link appears between Decaying Gourmand and the party member. A few seconds later they will be pulled in and eaten. Voracious Maw will appear on the goobbue and must be destroyed quickly to free the party member before the damage they are taken kills them.
The boss will also leave Pollen circles on the ground that must be avoided like any other damage over time ground attack. You should be used to these by now. If a party member gets Poisoned the healer should use Esuna or Leeches to get rid of it.
Arioch
Arioch has an interesting mechanic in that it can not be tanked. When the battle starts you will notice that you cannot attack it, but there will be a mob called a Ranch Wamoura that can be attacked.
The way this fight works is that killing a Ranch Wamoura gives the player who killed it a debuff that lasts for 45 seconds. While this debuff is applied the boss will attack them and players will be able to attack Arioch.
The way to fight Arioch is to have the tank kill the Ranch Wamoura’s that spawn while completely ignoring the boss. It will only target him or her this way. However it will also leave some ground AoEs that need to be avoided so the tank needs to plan which Wamouras he will kill.
Diabolos
Diabolos can be a tricky fight and will cause wipes if everyone in the ground is unfamiliar with his main mechanic; Ruminous Omen. This will deal huge damage if not avoided by opening the correct doors that you see around the edge of the arena.
The way the doors work is that there are eight of them, divided into two groups of four. There are green, red, yellow and blue doors. During each Ruinous Omen you should open a pair of doors that match the same colour. This will create a portal that will allow party members to be “outside” the arena during the attack.
The best strategy for handling the doors is to mark them 1 and 2, 3 and 4, target ignore 1 and 2. The final pair does not need to be marked as there will only be two left if the fight lasts long enough to require them. The catch is that the colours only remain above the doors just as the fight starts, and again during each Ruinous Omen. This is why it is best to have the DPS players mark them right at the start of the fight.
Diabolos also has another attack that you need to be aware of called Graviball. This will leave a sphere on the ground that will cause AoE damage kinda like those in Amdapor Keep. Just keep away from it.
Diabolos will also use an attack called Nightmare that puts everyone to sleep for a short time. This can be stunned and avoided.
Bosses
