Odin was added in patch 2.5 of the A Realm Reborn expansion.
Odin becomes available at level 50 as part of the “Fear and Odin in the Shroud” quest, which is given by Scarlet – New Gridania (X:9, Y:11).
The trial has a minimum ilevel of 95 to enter and rewards you with:

Introduction

Odin was added as a standalone primal battle in patch 2.5. Previously he had only been in the game as a random F.A.T.E. encounter within The Black Shroud but now you can take him on as a party of 8.
The Odin fight is not difficult and is tuned at a level similar to hard mode primals. There is no extreme version of the fight as of yet but we hope they will add one. The fight does have loot, which consists of ilevel 50 glamour items. It is basically the same gear the F.A.T.E. rewarded but split into separate slots so that it can be used as glamour. A new mage set was added too however.
This is a fight that only requires one rank, so if you happen to be doing this via the DF the off tank should go full DPS mode. Having melee for LB is always recommended too and you should save the LB for the final phase.
Odin has three phases, with the second adding a couple of new attacks and the third being completely new. There is also a 7 minute enrage timer which means the whole fight is a DPS check.
Phase 1: 100-55%
In phase 1 Odin will use numerous AoE attacks. They are all fairly easy to dodge and none of them are threatening in terms of damage, however there will be a lot of AoE and it is the combined damage that can cause difficulties. His attacks are as follows:
Sanngetall – Cleave attack that deals around 3-4k damage to the tank and anyone else stood in front.
Valknut – AoE circle around Odin that will deal around 3k damage to anyone caught in it.
Hall of Sorrow – This will deal around 1k damage to everyone in the party – unavoidable.
Hall of Lead – AoE attack targeted on ranged attackers. This will deal around 1k damage to the targets and anyone stood near them. For this reason ranged attackers should not stand near each other. This will also apply a Slow debuff to the players hit, however it can be removed by a healer.
Hall of Stone – AoE circles targeted on random players. If anyone is hit by this they will be petrified. It is easy to dodge and can even be stunned to avoid having to deal with it.
Gangrath – Several spears will appear around the outside of the arena. These will learn create a line AoE across the arena which will deal around 1k damage and knockback anyone caught in it.
Phase 2: 55-15%
In phase 2 Odin will be able to use an attack called Einherjar. This will deal around 1.5k damage to everyone in the party and apply a Bleeding DoT to players. Healers can remove this.
His other new attack is called Gungnir. This will target three players with large circles that will hit anyone caught within with around 1.5k damage. They will then leave behind three Gungnirs. These must be attacked and killed because while they are up they will deal around 450 damage to everyone in the party every 3 seconds. Odin can use his other attacks while the Gungnirs are up so the damage can become quite high if not carefully managed.
Phase 3: 15-0%
During phase 3 Odin will not use any of his other attacks – he will run to the centre of the arena and begin casting Shin-Zantetsuken. This is your DPS check because if you do not kill Odin before he finishes casting the party will wipe. It is at this point that you should use your melee LB.
