Greetings,
The Tokyo Game Show 2018 (TGS) has officially begun and the FFXIV team is there once again at the Square Enix booth, to showcase some exciting content and potential goodies attendees can take home, too.
If you’re there and having trouble finding the booth, just look for the gigantic Moogle balloon, kupo!
This year, the King of the Skies, Rathalos, awaits the players at the booth!
Warriors of Light who answer the call will be challenging Rathalos in the Great Hunt (Normal) and the Great Hunt (Extreme), too!
Those who are victorious in normal mode will receive an “I BEAT LIOLAEUS” sticker.
*Oh! Just for reference, in the Japanese version, Rathalos is called Liolaeus.
The Great Hunt (Extreme) seems to be one of the harder challenges brought to TGS so far since we’re already seeing Rathalos rush through many Warriors of Light. Those who are waiting in line are even studying players before them in order to form better strategies.
Those who complete this most extreme challenge are rewarded with an “I BEAT LIOLAEUS” shirt!
However, due to the difficulty of this challenge, this shirt may very well become a rare item!
At TGS, there is also a section for aspiring adventurers to experience FFXIV for the first time. In this specific area, players will learn how to play on a gamepad, go through character creation, and even go up against Ifrit!
If you’re at TGS this year, be sure to bring your friends over to check it out!
Among all the goodies thus far, there are also Namazu Fans being given out!
If you stop by the booth, be sure to pick one up from one of our companions.
Another event to keep in mind this TGS is the Stroll with Yoshi-P at Messe stage event on Sunday, September 23rd at 1:50 p.m. (JST) / Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 4:50 (GMT) / 5:50 (BST) where Yoshi-P will visit one of the public worlds and play alongside fellow Warriors of Light.
I hope you enjoyed this small tour of the FFXIV booth at TGS!
*Please bear in mind that we will end the distribution of physical items once we run out of stock so come by and grab them while they’re still hot!
