Greetings, Warriors of Light and Gold Saucer Enthusiasts!
Have you been itching for riches? Do visions of Fenrir, the Archon Throne, or the Korkoppur Kolossus dance in your head? Do you find yourself vexed as the Mini Cactpot Broker offers you tickets with not a single feasible solution for 10,000 MGP?
Fear not! The Make It Rain Campaign will begin tonight at 8:00 p.m. (PDT) / 11:00 p.m. (EDT)!
If you missed last year’s extravaganza, allow me to explain.
During the campaign, the amount of MGP you earn from Gold Saucer attractions such as the Cactpots, minigames, and GATEs are increased by 50%!
This campaign will offer newcomers and seasoned veterans alike the opportunity to earn tons of MGP that you can exchange for a plethora of prizes!
Speaking of prizes, did you catch the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XLIV? Yoshi-P revealed that that the Monster Toss mini-game, normally only found in the Gold Saucer, will soon be available as a furnishing item! Crystal Tower Striker and Cuff-a-Cur will also be made into furnishings, bringing the minigame fun to your front door!
These furnishings will only be available during the Make It Rain Campaign, so be sure to take advantage of this exciting event.
Not only will these furnishings be a stylish addition to your home décor, you’ll be able to earn MGP from the comfort of your living room! (Or basement, apartment, FC room… you catch our drift.)
Keep in mind that unlike most seasonal events, the Make It Rain Campaign is three weeks long! However, plenty of you adventurers are busy with the latest Patch 4.3 content, so this will give you some time to make your way to the Gold Saucer after a lengthy day of activities.
Three weeks might feel like a long time, but it’s not without reason! There are so many prizes to be earned here, such as…
Emotes!
Minions!
Glamours!
Mounts!
And much, much more!
During the Make It Rain Campaign, some of the available prizing will also be offered at a discounted price. Be sure to check out the vendors and see what’s on sale as your pockets overflow with MGP!
Speaking of pockets overflowing, allow us to offer some tips on making MGP.
The Fashion Report
You can partake in the Fashion Report once a week! This activity challenges Gold Saucer visitors to create their best ensembles based on a given theme. Typically, you can earn 10,000 MGP just for participating, and 50,000 MGP if you can score higher than 80 points! However, during the campaign, you’ll be able to earn 30,000 MGP for participating and 180,000 MGP for scores over 80! Whoa!
GATEs
Similar to FATEs, there are several different Gold Saucer Active Time Events (GATEs) where you can participate in different live events within the halls of the Gold Saucer to earn MGP.
For example, in the Cliffhanger GATE, you’re challenged to climb to great heights to rescue a frightened hatchling set high atop a lofty locale. In the Time of My Life GATE, you have to flex your emote skills by following the instructor NPC. Both of these events will award you with 2,000 MGP! (You’ll get used to these quickly!)
And let’s not forget the staggering GATE, Any Way the Wind Blows, where you have to try and not get blown away by Typhon. If you’re successful, you’re awarded with a whopping 7,500 MGP! No tips or tricks we can offer here, just try your luck!
Chocobo Racing
Why not take this time to register your chocobo and begin racing? In Patch 4.3 we made adjustments to the chocobo races so that you can now register for chocobo races via the Duty Finder, and you can join parties with your friends and other players to race with them when queuing together as a group!
And last but not least, we have the Triple Triad card games, and Lord of Verminion where you command legion of cute and cuddly minions you have collected on your adventures!
There’s no time like the present to jump back into your old favorite Gold Saucer pastimes, so come on out and Make It Rain!
I’ll see you all in the Manderville Gold Saucer–I’ll be the one arguing with Masked Rose that my glamour most definitely fits the theme and I’m honestly offended he’d even suggest otherwise… I mean really, I’m the Warrior of Light!
