Greetings, everyone!
Patch 3.2 is going to unleash content by the bucket loads. A new primal battle, new dungeons, a new raid, tons of new items… The list goes on and on (Seriously, I’ve seen the patch notes. It’s like a novella.). But it’s always the small things that have the potential for being really, really, ridiculously cool, which brings me to the feature of today’s blog: the expansion of the group pose feature!
Addition #1: Altering the picture’s focus.
By clicking (or using the directional keys) to select the target of your group pose, that target will now become the focus of the picture. Also, when taking multiple pictures, you can switch the focus by clicking on a different person!
Here’s an example of the camera focusing on me as usual.
But now you’ll be able to take pictures with the camera focus on other players and even minions!
Addition #2: Compositional adjustments.
Using the right stick, you’ll be able to change the orientation of the camera and alter the composition of your picture as illustrated below.
Only the camera orientation changes while the position remains unchanged, and this is perfect for putting the final touches on a picture.
Addition #3: Pets are no longer camera shy.
Pets will now also face the camera when taking group pose pictures.
Look over here, Garuda Egi!
Good girl!
Addition #4: Looking at the camera is now optional.
When using the group pose feature, the characters (and now pets!) stare straight at the camera, but we’ve made it so you can turn this off to catch everyone in their natural habitat by pressing the space bar or the triangle button.
Let’s turn it off and see what happens…
And back on–totally making it look like the Water Imp is photo bombing the group picture.
Addition #5: Adjusting for emotes.
The group pose feature will now fix the position of the camera so that the target you are hugging, petting, or whatever emote you choose to use, is captured perfectly.
Capturing a special moment to show how much you love your minion has never been easier! (I can’t tell if this little guy is happy or angry…)
I’m very much looking forward to seeing how adventurers put the group pose feature to use with all these great new changes once Patch 3.2 hits! Everyone’s creativity with the tools they are given never ceases to amaze me, and I’m expecting to have some laughs.
Almost… there…
