Why does it smell like eggs in here…? It’s tickling my nose… Haa… haa…HATCHING-TIDE!
Whew, pardon me! Anyhow, let’s take a crack at the upcoming egg-themed seasonal event.
“Jihli Aliapoh dreams of Tonberries participating in this year’s celebrations.”
What? Surely they meant “Loporrits”…no, that definitely says “Tonberries”…Huh. Well, I’m just as intrigued as you are, so let’s get to the bottom of this!
Event Period
From Monday, March 27, 2023 at 1:00 a.m.
to Monday, April 10, 2023 at 7:59 a.m. (PDT)
How to Participate
Speak with Jihli Aliapoh at Old Gridania (X:10.2 Y:9.4) to accept the quest.

Event Items
â–¼Pa-Paya Demastered Orchestrion Roll
I’m told this arrangement of “Pa-Paya” will be playing “somewhere” during this seasonal event. I’m all for surprises, as long as they aren’t chasing me down corridors and stabbing me in the back!
â–¼Hippity-hoppity Hatching-tide Advertisement
The Hatching-tide illustration from 2022 is now available as a poster! If you were here for last year’s event, then you know that “hippity-hoppity” just about sums up the bunny-chasing mayhem that ensued.
â–¼A set of Tonberry-themed equipment
This set of Tonberry-themed equipment will be available from the seasonal event vendor in exchange for Archon Eggs, which are earned by completing special FATEs.
Those of you who’ve done the scholar job quests might be questioning where we procured these. Not to worry, no Tonberries were harmed (or disrobed) in the making of this outfit, or so I’ve been told.
Do note that knives are not included in this set. And our fingers are all the safer for it.

Finally, I should mention that a new mini-game will be added to the Toy Box once you’ve completed all of the seasonal event quests. What fun!
So, what do you think? This year’s event appears to be quite… different from previous iterations, but I’m certain you’ll see all the fanciful egg-themed décor everywhere and go, “Why yes, ’tis the season for Hatching-tide indeed.”
