Greetings, everyone!
This past Sunday morning we broadcast the twenty-fifth installment of the ever popular Letter from the Producer LIVE.
Twenty-fifth! Oh deer! We’ve come quite a long way since the very first one, and we’re also a quarter of the way to 100. Almost there!
Part XXV continued the tradition of taking the show on the road, and this time around the team headed west to hold the Hiroshima FATE. To kick off the show we debuted the trailer for “Patch 3.1, As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness.”
We know we’ve been keeping adventurers waiting for quite a while, but Patch 3.1 is just around the corner, and it will be making its way into Eorzea on Tuesday, November 10th!
Besides the Letter LIVE, there were a couple other activities the attendees in Hiroshima had an opportunity to take part in, so let’s take a look.
â– Battle challenge
There’s nothing better than a primal roulette to get the blood pumping! As they say, life is like a wheel of primals; you never know what you’re gonna get!
There were also various handicaps that made the battles even more interesting.
â– Chocobo racing and the Wolves’ Den
Attendees were also able to sit down and challenge others at the event to some 4v4 Wolves’ Den matches and chocobo races.
Surprisingly there were quite a few attendees who were new to PvP, but they fought hard each battle and didn’t give up!
â– Gold Saucer mini-games
Competitions for each of the four mini-games available in the Gold Saucer were also held, and at the end the top five contenders were announced to all.
â– Letter from the Producer LIVE Part XXV
Yoshi-P was joined by special guest Yosuke Hayashi (on the right in the picture) from the item team.
Hayashi is also a member of the infamous Minion Alliance, and he divulged a ton of information on both minions and the new Gold Saucer mini-game, Lord of Verminion.
â– Mingling with the developers
Right up until it was time for Letter from the Producer LIVE, Yoshi-P was mingling around the venue talking to all the attendees (for nearly five hours!).
Soken was the sound expert (makes total sense) during the broadcast, and including the test broadcasts he was super busy doing his thing, but that didn’t stop him from mingling as well during his free time. What a rock star!

â– Messages to the developers
As is customary, all the attendees wrote messages to the development team on this large-sized message board. I’m sure they will put it up in the office like they have in the past (they are starting to take over quite the amount of space!).
Finally, here’s a nice picture of the team at a popular sightseeing spot in Hiroshima.
Tomorrow the Community Team will be giving a full digest of everything mentioned during the Letter LIVE, as well as getting adventurers hyped for Patch 3.1, with DUTY COMMENCED Episode 9, so be sure to tune in!
