Hello everyone!
It’s Lakukisu reporting in from the post-gamescom euphoria. Last week was a whirlwind of FFXIV in different forms; gameplay, cosplay, community and music; let’s take a look!
By the way, a good work trip always starts with a little bit of sightseeing! Now to back to business…
Monday was actually our first day at gamescom. We met our ambassadors and made the final touch ups on our booth!
Business centre was packed! And after a long day of interviews, you need a little bit of extra energy.
Our FFXIV booth consisted of three areas; roulette, stage and New Adventurer corner. In the roulette area, you could test your might against the Heavensward and Stormblood primals either in normal or in extreme mode!
Everyone testing their skills in the normal mode won an FFXIV bag, but everyone who tried and won in the extreme mode also got a sweat band!
At the New Adventurer corner, the FFXIV Starter Edition for PC was available for free!
And our stage… well, that was where the magic happened! Our very own Yoshi-P, Soken and Koji Fox took the stage and some lucky players had the chance to challenge extreme trials with them!
Let’s not forget the cosplay contest and the insanely well-crafted costumes!
We also gave out free FFXIV magazines with in-game codes! (MGP and Aetheryte Tickets!)
Friday and Saturday were extra special as those were the two days blessed with the Eorzean Symphony concert in Dortmund. Spoilers aside, there were tears and a lot of feels.
Big thanks to everyone who came to check out the all-amazing FFXIV booth, tested their might on the roulette challenge or on-stage activities, and to everyone who helped us make this year’s FFXIV experience at gamescom amazing!
Until next year! In the meantime, I’ll be enjoying a sunny holiday in Costa del Sol.
Lakukisu
P.S. Shopping with Soken and Yoshi-P looks hilarious!
